Frankie Rose - "Know Me" Video

Urban Outfitter's has teamed up with director Ricardo Rivera to produce a stunning new video for Frankie Rose's "Know Me," one of the best tracks off her excellent album Interstellar.  The video, which has has a retro sci-fi feel, follows Rose as she navigates through a labyrinth of neon tunnels and flashing lights.

Robert Schneider on Bill Doss

Honestly, I am still reeling from the passing of the immensely talented Bill Doss.  I've been going through some of my old OTC photographs back in the day in order to put together a little photo tribute of my own.  Coming soon!

Robert Schneider, of The Apples in Stereo and longtime friend and collaborator of Bill Doss, had this to say about Bill's untimely passing over on the E6 Town Hall forum:

I am heartbroken by the loss of my life-long friend, collaborator and band-mate. My world will never be the same without the wonderful, funny, supremely creative Bill Doss. On behalf of my own family-- as well as of The Apples in stereo and the Elephant 6 Collective-- I would like to send out tender thoughts and our deepest sympathies to Bill's wife and family.

Chuang Tsu: "The wood is consumed but the fire burns on, and we do not know when it will come to an end."

Love to you all,
Robert Schneider

R.I.P. Bill Doss of The Olivia Tremor Control

The music world has suffered a great loss today with the passing of Bill Doss, founding member of The Olivia Tremor Control and Sunshine Fix.  Doss also was a co-founder of the Elephant 6 collective, which included OTC, The Apples in Stereo, Neutral Milk Hotel, the Music Tapes and many more like-minded groups.
Doss grew up in the tiny town of Ruston, Louisiana, where he met Jeff Mangum of Neutral Milk Hotel and Will Cullen Hart, his harmonic other half in OTC.  The three became fast friends and eventually formed the Olivia Tremor Control.  After moving to Athens, Mangum split off to form Neutral Milk Hotel, while the other two went on to record two psychedelic masterpieces, Music From The Unrealized Film Script:  Dusk at Cubist Castle and Black Foliage:  Animation Music.
No details of his death have been released at this point.
Here is a video of OTC from this years Pitchfork Music Festival:
