Nylon Party RSVP

South by South Mess 2

The folks over South by South Mess are at it again.  They have five parties next week that they promise will be "the messiest parties of SXSW 2012."  One of the parties is a Slip N Slide party.  Sounds fun!
If you can decipher the cryptic poster above you will unearth a pretty awesome lineup including the buzzalicious Grimes, Maps & Atlases, Japanther, Dan Deacon, and more.  Can you figure out the rest of the lineup?  They have a handy page where you can RSVP to all five parties.

Strange Brew Party at Hotel Vegan

The show is free and open to the public, but I would advise getting there early if you want to get in.  The line is always monstrous.

South by East by West Spring Bash

Official SXSW Poster

This poster by Kevin Tong is pretty cool.  You know, I'm a sucker for good illustration.  SXSW will be distributing numbered prints and the artist will have prints for sale at his booth at the Convention Center during SXSW.

Perez Hilton "One Night in Austin"

Trash-talking celebrity blogger has announced some of the details for his party at the Austin Music Hall on Saturday, March 17th.  This year the event will be official, which means badges and wristbands, but you can buy tickets to guarantee entry.  All of the proceeds go to support the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.  So far, the only artists that have been announced are the Ting Tings, Ed Sheeran, Cher Lloyd and Dev.  Not super-impressive, but I'm sure Perez has some tricks up his sleeve.

Buy tickets here.

Brooklyn Bodega Circus Party

Electro Soul, Hip Hop, and Circus.  Three names that go hand and hand.  Plus, it's at the cool little East Side venue the Gypsy Lounge.

This isn't a party, but I thought it was worth the mention for all you hungry SXSW attendees.  The Squarespace trailer on 5th & Neches will be offering up free food from some of Austin's best vendors at 11am every morning during the conference (March 9th-17th).  Some of the guest vendors include:  East Side Kings (it's rumored that Top Chef winner Paul Qui will be handing out the food), The Peached Tortilla, P. Terry's, Franklin BBQ, and more.  Check out the full schedule HERE.

The Warby Parker Citizen's Circus

Oklahoma SXSW Parties.

Gotta give a shout out to my home state.  There are a variety of parties to choose from.  I've been to the Sax, Clogs & Rock and Roll event before and had a blast.  There are a lot of talented musicians (and filmmakers) following in the footsteps of The Flaming Lips.  Who knows, you might run into Wayne Coyne!

Urban Outfitters SXSW

Urban Outfitters always has an awesome lineup every SXSW, but it's sometimes hard to get out of the downtown/Eastside circle and head up to campus (why don't they use the downtown store?).  But, with this lineup, I will have to drag my lazy ass up to Guadalupe one, two or four days.  As always, these shows are free. (via)

Billy Reid/American Songwriter SXSW Shindig

We went to this one last year and had lots of fun.

Polyvinyl Records SXSW Night Party
